I have been selected along with photographer, John Atwood, by The Byrd Hoffman Watermill Foundation to be an artist in residence this fall at Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center in Watermill, NY.
You will recognize John’s work from the covers of “Disaster” and “Evryman For Himself” as well as the videos for the title tracks to each. Last year I began writing a song based on his photography. I plan to spend my time at the Watermill expanding, developing, and arranging it into a long-form piece for piano, voice, horns, strings, and percussion.
The piece will premiere at the 92YTribeca in New York on January 26th along with an exhibition of Atwood’s photography.
To cover the funds necessary to realize this project as I envision it, we have begun a Kickstarter campaign:

Please take a moment to watch the video John and I made and share as you see fit. It explains the project further and contains a section of its music.
Thank you for supporting my work.
Sincerely,
Daniel
